I do miss upstate NY, more than most people will ever know. But, I am here to dispell a common misconception on living in upstate NY. Although I did live right on Lake Champlain for 4 years, I was on the side of the lake that did not recieve lake effect snow. VT got the snow. NY just got the bitter wind and cold.
